Rent goes straight to the landlord

Rent is paid into the property's own Paybill or bank account. Rent Shopika records the payment, confirms it and issues the receipt. It never holds your rent.

Four checks, never mixed up

Each badge means one thing. A verified landlord does not make a house vacant, and a vacancy does not verify a payment.

Identity verified: The landlord or manager is who they say they are.
Property verified: The property exists and they have authority to let it.
Vacancy confirmed: Shown with the date and time it was last confirmed vacant.
Payment verified: Confirmed by M-Pesa, or confirmed and signed off by the manager.

House search opens once the first properties are verified. Listings will show when each vacancy was last confirmed, never just "available".
